Mooresville location now open!

We are happy to announce that our Mooresville location is open and staffed to help with Food and Nutrition Services, Medicaid, Work First, Day Care, and the Energy Programs.   The office is located at the Government Center South Building 4th Floor. 610 E Center St, Mooresville NC.

Iredell County Department of Social Services is available to serve you and your household needs.  We offer face-to-face interviews and telephone interviews.  You can apply in person at the Mooresville or Statesville locations listed on this site or you may apply by mail, by phone, fax, e-mail, or on-line at https://epass.nc.gov/.  

You can call our office at 704-873-5631 and select option 4 from the main menu to receive assistance in creating an epass account with enhanced options that will allow you to apply for most programs, submit verifications, check on the status of your application, and submit recertifications and changes.

Adult Day Care Service

  • Arranges placement and transportation
  • Assesses need and eligibility
  • Pays for care at licensed facility

Eligibility

  • 18 and up
  • Iredell County resident
  • Must be income eligible
  • Sliding fee scale


Rest Home Care (Adult Foster Care)

  • Assists families in locating nursing or rest home; assists new residents’ adjustment to nursing or rest home
  • Assists operator in licensing procedures for rest homes
  • Provides financial assistance for nursing or rest home care
  • Supervises facilities’ adherence to rest home standards

Eligibility

  • Iredell County resident
  • Must be financially eligible for nursing/rest home care

  • Receives referrals and assesses need for protective services

Eligibility

  • 18 years and up
  • Iredell County resident who is disabled, abused, neglected, or exploited and is in need of agency intervention
